Quick Start: Your First Square Face in Under 2 Minutes
New to the Square Face Generator? You can have a pixel avatar ready in under two minutes. No account, no Flash — just open the Square Face Generator and follow these steps.
Step 1: Open the Generator
Go to the home page and click Start. The generator loads in your browser. You’ll see a face preview and a row of buttons: Random, Manual, and 12 feature categories.
Step 2: Get a Base Face
Click Random a few times. Each click gives you a new square face with different eyes, mouth, hair, and colors. Stop when you see something you like, or when you just want a starting point. You can change everything in the next step.
Step 3: Tweak What You Want
Use the category buttons to change eyes, mouth, hair, accessories, and more. Use the color palette (top-right) to adjust colors. Use the arrow controls to nudge eyes or mouth up, down, left, or right. The Square Face Generator has 200+ elements — no need to use them all. Often a simple combo looks best.
Step 4: Save and Use
Click SAVE to download your square face as a 256×256 PNG. Upload it as your avatar on Discord, X, TikTok, or any platform. You can also share it in our Community from the Square Face Generator site.
